Giving

Introduction

There are lots of ways you can give at Holy Trinity. You can give your time, your talents, even your conversation! Many people already give a huge amount to Holy Trinity and we would like to say thank you to everyone who gives in every way. Giving money is just one of the ways to contribute, but if you can't give money, that's fine!

The church needs money to help in its work. The money we receive is spent on things like staff, administation, cleaning, insurance and mission. We also give to the Diocese, which in turn helps fund less fortunate churches. The graphs below show where our money currently comes from and where it currently goes. Last year’s income was £120,000.

This year we estimate an expected income of £2,090 per week. This is wonderful, but we need to raise more. Our aim is to raise an additional £5,000 this year. This would be spent on:

  • More mission work in the community
  • Returning our charity giving to 10% of our income
  • Increasing our Diocesan Pledge to further the work in the wider Church

£5,000 per year is equivalent to £100 per week, which is around 50 cups of coffee per week. This is the same as one cup of coffee per week, for every adult who comes to one of our services on a Sunday.

If you are able to, please consider giving to the church. Giving us just £2 (one cup of coffee per week) can help us reach our goal. The Bible tells us to freely give of our gifts and resources. Passages like Mark 8:31-34 and Mark 12:41-44 give us teaching on this. Please pray and consider if you can give financially.
